As early human society expanded, the kinetic energy of survival (Rajas) and the heavy inertia of physical labor (Tamas) consumed almost all human processing power. People were too busy building, trading, and defending to maintain this massive database of cosmic truth.
In physics, any information system that is not actively maintained falls victim to entropy. The human ecosystem faced a critical data vulnerability. If the builders, the traders, and the warriors stopped their physical work to memorize the data, the physical society would collapse into starvation and defenselessness. Yet, if no one maintained the data, the cosmic software of civilization would be permanently erased from human memory.
Therefore, the system required a highly specialized subset of human hardware to sacrifice all other physical pursuits entirely to act as dedicated storage nodes.
This is the true, scientific origin of the Brahmana.
The Architecture of Intellectual Sacrifice In its uncorrupted form, the role of the Brahmana was never about societal privilege or luxury. It was an assignment of extreme, unrelenting bandwidth dedication.
To prevent the cosmic data from degrading, this specific class of people had to forfeit the pursuit of wealth, political power, and physical comfort. They became the dedicated servers of human society. Their only function was to memorize, protect, and transmit the vast terabytes of Vedic knowledge exactly as it was originally formatted—down to the exact phonetic pitch and frequency, ensuring the Naad (the cosmic vibration) was never altered.

The Accessibility Protocol: The Science of Smriti The Original Architect recognized a final, crucial problem: The raw database (the Vedas) was too massive and complex for the average citizen—the busy farmer, the active soldier, the hardworking artisan—to download and process in their daily lives. To solve this, the Architect created a highly compressed, accessible "User Manual." We call this manual a Smriti (like the Manusmriti).
